Program Description
The Office of Inspector General (OIG) of the Department of Health and Hospitals (DHH) continues in its efforts to promote the implementation of compliance programs for the healthcare industry. Healthcare providers are finding themselves and their reimbursement claims accountable to more and more auditors as CMS steps up it Medicare and Medicaid auditing activities. This one-day program is designed to assist hospitals to develop and/or maintain effective internal controls that promote adherence to applicable Federal and State law. It will focus on preparation for audits and provider appeals while at the same time furthering the fundamental mission of all hospitals, which is to provide quality care to patients.
