Fraud in Colleges and Universities–The more things change, the more they remain the same

Fraudsters are creative in their methods of stealing, but no matter how their schemes change, the fraud game stays the same.  This presentation will provide a background of fraud, inform participants of specific risks in the industry, and discuss red flags that may assist them to identify fraud in their organization.

HORNE Faculty:  Jeff Aucoin, CPA, CFF, CFE, CIA, is Certified in Financial Forensics and is a Certified Fraud Examiner. He is also a Certified Internal Auditor. Jeff earned his Bachelor of Accountancy and Master of Accountancy, with a focus in internal audit, from Louisiana State University. He frequently presents to local and regional audiences on the topics of fraud and forensic accounting. He works in the firm's Baton Rouge, LA, office.
