What Is a Calculation Report and When Should It Be Used?
There are generally two types of engagements used by CPAs to
estimate value-a valuation engagement and a calculation engagement.
Most attorneys are familiar with a valuation engagement, which
provides a high level of assurance and results in a conclusion of
value. However, there are situations where a calculation of value
may provide an acceptable level of assurance for the end user as
well as a lower price point than a full valuation.
