Hospital C-suites will respond at an administrative level, reducing costs of supplies, discontinuing low priority services, finding low cost service vendors and other measures.  This article details this cost-reimbursement conundrum that leaves providers with only one place to go:  they must reduce costs at the level of the clinical enterprise.
